The meaning behind this work….

Sweet Child of Mine was painted during the first year of motherhood. A season of new challenges and sleepless nights but overall immense joy. After many years of trying for a child, our sweet boy holds a special place in our hearts. It feels surreal to believe he really is a sweet child of mine.

This works was painted in the small gaps of time and is a raw expression of the contrasting emotions I’ve felt during this season. Despite this, there’s a real sense of calm, beauty and honesty about this work.
